Your Journey, Day by Day

Day 1 – Arrival in Paro | Welcome to Bhutan


Paro International Airport.


Your journey begins with one of the world’s most spectacular flights into Paro, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Upon arrival, your guide from Your Bhutan Trip will welcome you and escort you to Thimphu (1 hour drive).

The day is kept light for acclimatization. After check-in, enjoy your first Bhutanese meal—either at your hotel or a curated local restaurant.

Later, explore the capital at your own pace:

  • National Memorial Chorten

  • Takin Preserve

  • Local craft markets and cultural sites

In the evening, stroll through Thimphu town and optionally experience its relaxed nightlife.

Day 2 – Thimphu to Punakha | Journey Through the Mountains

After breakfast, travel to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass.

En route, visit the majestic Buddha Dordenma—one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.

At Dochula, enjoy a 360° panoramic Himalayan view surrounded by 108 chortens.

Continue your drive into the warm Punakha valley, with optional nature walks along the way.

Visit Chimi Lhakhang, a sacred temple known for blessings of fertility, reached through picturesque rice fields and village paths.

Day 3 – Punakha | Valley of Harmony

Begin your day with a scenic hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, offering breathtaking valley views.

Later, explore the magnificent Punakha Dzong, set at the confluence of two rivers—one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses.

Walk across the nearby suspension bridge and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 4 – Punakha to Paro | Return to the Valley

Day 5 – Tiger’s Nest Hike | Bhutan’s Iconic Experience

Today is the highlight of your journey.

Hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor.

Enjoy breathtaking viewpoints along the trail, including the famous cafeteria stop.

After the hike, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples.

Day 6 – Departure | Farewell Bhutan

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure.
